10 countries . 361 astrophotography entries . 51 participating astrophotographers

These are only a small fraction of the many excellent photographs on display. Some of the entries were huge 20' by 20' prints, maybe bigger. Several of the photos were on sale at the exhibition too. I don't remember hearing of such a large scale collection done with this many entries before. It is quite obvious that the organizer had done a lot to try and convey the true beauty inherent in each photograph. I understand from the organizer that while they were preparing the photographs in the initial stages, they had to reject the first batch of photographs that got back from the photolab because of inexperienced astrophoto developing (they had sent a number of negatives for development and scanning for enlargement.) This is one exhibition that should not be missed. The exhibition will continue its tour in Penang and hopefully, make its way down to Singapore sometime next year. - Lin
