The Far Side of Astronomy - The Buddhist Perspective

The Buddhist Story of Creation - Tibetan Mythology

The universe began with a great emptiness. It is a void with philosophical substance, timeless and blank. Yet in nothing, there is the impromptu presence of something which prompts the materialization of the double lightning-bolt scepter, a symbol of the activating energy of creation at maximum gain.

Beginning in this manner, the new universe grows, matures, decays, dies, and ends again in a catastrophic dissolution, and the process goes on without end.
