There were six talks spread over a period of 3 days. The talks were conducted in both English and Chinese.

 

The Radio 5 Appearance

The exhibition was also taken on the airwaves of RTM Radio 5 over three days. Here, the Taiwanese guest speakers talk about their opinions and experiences about astronomy locally and overseas. Ms Ong of Radio 5 leading the guests with questions about themselves.

29th October. The Children's Astronomical Art Competition

There were over 100 participants for this event which was divided into 2 categories: 9 - 10 years & 11 - 12 years.

Nestle Koko Krunch and Honey Stars appeared much to delight of the many kids who were there during the art competition.

The exhibition was well organized with a strong committee that was constantly on its feet to ensure that everything was going according to plan. They moved quickly and efficiently. I have to commend the Malaysian team on a job well-done. I spent my time examining the exhibits and interacting with the other astronomers from the local society. I was struck by the committee's readiness to help out anyone who has any question. I really enjoyed my time at the exhibition, and I am glad to have met such nice people.

The exhibition continues on to Penang.

My personal thanks to Mr Sua for graciously hosting me and bringing me around despite his commitments to the exhibtion. Many thanks also to Bobby who was also an excellent host. Thanks to the other committee members who were really kind to me.
